On the one hand, Silverado SST incorporates many of the features that have made Silverado one of America's favourite full-size pickups. These include quad doors and plenty of room for four. Yet there are plenty of hints that this is no ordinary Silverado.
The wheelbase is much shorter (only 133 inches) and the box has been shortened 8 inches up front, 4.5 inches in the rear and integrated into the back of the cab. The domed hood has been skinned in carbon fiber and features a cowl area that has been raised 2.5 inches - giving Silverado SST a menacing, ready-to-pounce look.
Other distinguishing features include: projector beam headlamp assemblies, LED parking lamp assemblies and composite fenders with integrated wheel flares. But there's still much more to this vehicle than meets the eye.

For Corvette-like handling, Silverado SST features a four-wheel independent SLA suspension, as well as adjustable air springs front and rear, power rack and pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS.
There's also plenty of Corvette inside Silverado SST, including the steering wheel and the blue electroluminescent instrument cluster. Silverado SST's performance information is displayed to the driver via an in-dash information screen, while the leather-covered seats with carbon fiber insert add comfort, support and more than a touch of class.
